A substantial and much-loved village straddling the ancient Roman road of Watling Street (A5), Paulerspury has been a settled community since Domesday. Its ironstone cottages, historic Church of St James the Apostle, and strong village identity make it one of the most popular villages immediately south of Towcester. The village is also home to a number of hamlets including Pury End, adding further character to the wider parish.

The Property Market

Paulerspury offers a wide range of properties from traditional stone cottages and Victorian semis through to modern detached family homes, many on quiet residential roads away from the main A5. The village is consistently popular with families and commuters alike, and demand is strong — not least because of the excellent local school. Properties range from around £250,000 for smaller homes to £700,000+ for larger period properties.

Amenities & Local Services

The village has a well-stocked general store, a pub, village hall and recreational facilities. Towcester's full range of shops and services is just a few minutes north on the A5.

Transport Links

The A5 runs through the village, giving fast connections to Towcester (3 miles), Milton Keynes (9 miles), Northampton (via the A43) and the M1 at junction 15A. Milton Keynes Central station provides London Euston services in around 35 minutes.

Schools

Paulerspury has its own well-regarded Church of England primary school. Secondary pupils attend Sponne School in Towcester.

Lifestyle & Local Character

The village has a strong community feel with an active village hall, sports clubs and local events throughout the year. The surrounding countryside and Whittlewood Forest provide wonderful walking and cycling on quiet lanes.

Agent's Verdict:  An excellent all-rounder: good amenities, strong community, solid transport links and a wide range of property. Ideal for families wanting village life within easy reach of both Towcester and Milton Keynes.
