A picturesque village in the rolling countryside west of Towcester, Blakesley is one of the more remote but highly charming villages in the area. Its traditional ironstone buildings, historic church, and unspoilt lanes offer a genuine escape from modern life. Despite its rural character it has good access to the wider road network.
The Property Market
Blakesley offers excellent value for money compared to villages closer to the A43 and M1 corridor. Character stone cottages and traditional farmhouses predominate, with some more modern housing development on the village edges. Buyers get considerably more for their money here than in comparable but busier villages.

Amenities & Local Services
The village has a pub and village hall. Towcester, Brackley and Daventry all provide a full range of shops and services within a 15-minute drive.
Transport Links
Good connections westward to Banbury (and the M40) and eastward to Towcester and the A43/M1. Suited to car-owning households happy with a short drive to town.
Schools
There is a Church of England primary school in the village. Secondary pupils travel to Sponne School in Towcester.
Lifestyle & Local Character
Quiet country living at its best. Surrounded by beautiful Northamptonshire upland countryside, with excellent walking, riding and cycling on quiet lanes and bridleways. Canons Ashby (National Trust) is just a few miles away.
Agent's Verdict: Outstanding value for buyers seeking authentic, deep rural village life in beautiful surroundings. Excellent for those who work from home or commute less frequently.
